Croatian President Ivo Josipovic sent a letter to Argentinian President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner, congratulating her on being re-elected for another four years.
President Josipovic said in the letter that Croatia "is without a doubt interested in developing relations with countries in other continents, including Argentina, based on equality and mutual benefit."
Center-left Fernandez secured the second term on Sunday with a resounding victory in nationwide elections. Fernandez won 53.42% of the vote. Her main rival - the Socialist Hermes Binner - won only 17.18%.
