At the invitation of His Excellency Mr. Ivo Josipovic, President of the Republic of Croatia, His Excellency Mr. Tsakhia Elbegdorj, President of Mongolia paid a state visit to the Republic of Croatia on 19-20 October 2011.
 
The heads of States (to be referred further as both sides) have had talks, which where held in atmosphere of friendship and exchanged their views on issues of bilateral relations and cooperation as well as the ones of mutual interest.
 
Both sides noted with satisfaction on the result of their talks and expressed the full confidence that their outcomes would give a new impetus to intensifying the bilateral cooperation between the two sides.
 
They pointed out the importance of the further development of political dialogue and intensification of trade and economic cooperation at various levels.
 
The two sides underlined that there are opportunities to develop cooperation in the field of food, agriculture, light industry, infrastructure, culture, education, tourism, environmental protection. They stated to support the cooperation between relevant entities in these regards.
 
Two sides have stressed that the current visit is taking place in the year of 100th Anniversary of Mongolian National Freedom Movement and 20th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Croatia.
 
The Mongolian side commented the Croatian achievements for developing his countries and wished the success for the process of joining EU.
 
The Croatian side pledged to render its support for the Mongolia's endeavor to introduce the European standards, to work closely within framework of the OSCE and to support Mongolia in broadening her interaction with NATO.
 
The Croatian side acknowledged its acceptance of the Mongolian side's request aimed at increasing a number of Mongolian students, studying on the Croatian Government’s scholarship and committed to increase them.
 
The Croatian side applauded the Mongolian chair of the Community of Democracies in 2011-2013. Two sides stated to have cooperation in this regard. 
  
Both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening their cooperation on the International arena. 
 
Parties reaffirmed their readiness for an active interaction in resolving global issues, including the combating against International terrorism and for the sake of sustainable development in the frame United Nations and its specialized agencies.
 
Two sides underlined that the state visit by H. E. Mr. Tsakhia Elbegdorj, President of Mongolia to the Republic Croatia was an important event aimed at further strengthening the friendly relations and intensifying the economic cooperation between the two countries.
 
H. E. Mr. Tsakhia Elbegdorj, President of Mongolia expressed the hearty gratitude to Mr. Ivo Josipovic, President of the Republic of Croatia for the cordial and warm hospitality and extended an invitation to him to pay a visit to Mongolia.
